In approximately five weeks, one of the most wonderful sporting events on the planet will be taking place in Delhi, the vibrant and sparkling capital of India, where sporting heroes and heroines from countries in the Commonwealth will be descending….that’s right, dear readers, the Commonwealth Games are nearly upon us, and it’s time to get our supporting hats on. To make matters even more exciting, here at sky lanterns, we have a special friend- Miss Mary Cohen, who just happens to be captaining the British fencing team for the games. We caught up with her, and asked a little about what support from the public means to her;“Without the supporters in the crowd it would be so much more difficult to get up there and compete as well as we want to. Knowing we’ve got people rooting for us back home as well really makes all the difference”.
