Easter isn’t just an excuse to have a couple of days off work, but it doesn’t have to be a purely religious occassion either. Find a happy medium and celebrate it in any way you please. Traditionally an Easter egg hunt is held on Easter Sunday for children and it’s a great way to have a family fun day at the same time.
Of all the symbols associated with Easter, the egg is the most identifiable as it symbolises fertility and new life. The customs and traditions of using eggs have been associated with Easter for centuries. The eggs are usually bright colours to symbolise spring which is when new life (for flowers and animals mainly) is at its peak.
