nascarFor those of you into Motor Racing, you’ll be pleased to know the Nascar Sprint Series is at the Texas Motor Speedway on 8 November at 2.30pm. It’s the sports’ highest level of professional competition so grab some tickets and head on down to watch the likes of Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson battle it out on the track.

Here at Sky Wish Lanterns we were wondering how the whole Nascar thing got so big? It’s the second most watched professional sports on television in the United States only to be beaten by professional football. We’ve seen the hilarious Motor Racing Parody Talladega Nights with Will Ferrell as the very funny Ricky Bobby and it paints a pretty funny scene of the whole race car world so many people seem to live in. Nascar stands for the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing and is a family owned and operated business venture that governs multiple auto racing events. The headquarters are located at Daytona Beach in Florida.

The team at Sky Wish Lanterns thinks we should talk to the people who run the entertainment, see if we can get in there and release hundreds of Sky Lanterns before the race. Imagine how gorgeous it would look over the speedway!
